For us, organizers of Frontiers, having a member of the government with the responsibility on innovation policy is a key step towards expanding the message of the MAKERS to the rest of the system. As Leeandro Agro’ (aka Leeander) wrote on his blog,
“While it’s true that us, with our heads immersed into innovation cannot succeed without our country that supports us, it’s also true that our country cannot survive except that through innovation.”
